Model 764L is crisp, lighter action than the model 765DF, based on the Payne Model #100 taper. This rod feels light-in-the hand, and delivers your fly with pinpoint accuracy;  a perfect 4 wt.

This is a lighter version of the 764L model listed above. It derives it’s action from a 1930’s era Payne rod that I acquired a few years ago that is light/delicate and can cast #3 lines as well as #4 lines. It has a crisp medium/fast action and can throw 50’ of line if required- all the time making exceptionally delicate fly presentations. This new model has some very satisfied customers and is personally one rod I love to fish!
