Made to the exact specifications of an early Ed Payne rod that I once owned, this 3-piece, 2-tip rod comes with a detachable handle and full intermediate wraps. Silk wraps are traditional brown with gold tipping and intermediates are also brown. The advantage of the detachable handle is to shorten the length of each rod section by about 3”. This gorgeous rod casts 4 & 5-wt. lines with the graceful action only early Payne rods possess. This would be the smoothest 5-wt. rod you could own!!!  Due to the extra time involved in creating this rod, it is only available in two grades.
